“i think that too many people have got the idea into their head that the customer is always right. This is soo not true! Why should the customer always be right? i can think of millions of occasions where the customer has definitely been wrong!
1. when they order a half baguette and see that a half baguette is actually longer than a third baguette (those crazy fractions get them every time) and they say- nooo i want half of that one there (pointing at the third baguette). What am i supposed to say? oh, sorry! my mistake, i didn’t realise that when you said you wanted half a baguette you actually wanted one sixth of a baguette. how stupid of me.
2. when they ask for a regular coffee and we are supposed to inherently know what that is. Hey, for some people that means black (those crazy americans), for some people that means dripping hot water through yesterdays used coffee and adding a dash of scorched milk (old ladies and pommies).”
